Becoming the ICC Co-Chair of the Associated Students at Mt Sac is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in the organization, grow as a leader, and contribute to the community. So I am here to express my desire to become the Co-Chair of this esteemed organization. I believe that my experience, skills, and passion make me a strong candidate for this position, and I am committed to working tirelessly to contribute to the success of the Associated Students at Mt Sac.

Firstly, I have experience in leadership roles, which has prepared me for the Co-Chair position. I have held leadership positions in other organizations, such as CU(Chinese Union) director and CSSA(Chinese Students and Scholar Association) president, where I have developed skills in communication, organization, and teamwork. As the ICC Co-chair of the Associated Students, I will use these skills to work collaboratively with the executive committee and members to create a culture of inclusivity and teamwork, where every single student feels valued and appreciated.

Secondly, I have taken part in the activities of the club mentioned earlier. I performed well and gained rich experience from it. In the new year of 2022, I participated in the UCI CSSA (Chinese Student and Scholar Association) as the chief director of the program. I was responsible for negotiating program sponsorship with businesses, and finally signed contracts with three companies, raising 150,000 funds for the gala. And connect with the actors, and participate in the on-site arrangement of the show on the day of the event. There were more than 1,000 people at the party, and the program was very effective. Besides, I’m familiar with the ICC meeting process. In 2022, as a meeting representative of the Chinese Union, I participated in the association representative meeting held by AS every week, which provided a framework for the work of Co-Chair.

Last but not the least, the Co-Chair is both a receiver of information for school leaders, faculty and staff, and a server for faculty and students. Like a bridge, responsible for receiving the school’s policy on clubs, besides, the Co-Chair is selected from the students to represent the interests of the students. We will serve the student association and help the club members to carry out activities better.
